Every Summer all of our students enjoy the experience of performing in a professional theatre
This year we are fortunate enough to have the use of the city’s Lantern Theatre, Sheffield’s oldest surviving theatre.
It is a terrific opportunity to perform in a beautiful theatre and to put into practice the skills developed over the year.
There is a role for everyone and the emphasis, as with our classes, is always on having fun and feeling confident in whatever role we are given.
Last year our youngest group staged the story of How the Lion got his Roar, while our Upper Primary age students got stuck into Maximum Speed 50 Croaders. The Youth Theatre blew everyone away with their productions of The League of Freaky Creatures and The Kidnapping of Kitty O’Hara.
After the plays we have our own in-house Awards which celebrate the hard work and achievements of our students.
Watch this space for details of our next Lantern Theatre productions.
